Students will practice identifying parallel lines using the Corresponding Angles Converse, Alternate Interior Angles Converse, Alternate Exterior Angles Converse, and Consecutive Interior Angles Converse with this cut and paste activity.

Simply give each student the diagrams sheet and the template. They cut out the 18 diagrams, sort them by which lines are parallel, determine which converse proves them parallel, then paste on the template. There are two diagrams that are not used on the template as a conclusion can not be made using the given angle markings or measures. This activity was created for a high school level geometry class.

Great review for students to have to really look at the relationships being created. I liked that there were a couple that had no relationship as well. I used this in groups and it really got students talking and explaining their thinking.

—NICOLE B.

My students love any type of hands-on task. This was great for them to practice this skill. Great examples.

—HANNAH R.

I loved the challenge of this activity - it really made students think about the angle relationships and work through the extra information provided in the diagram. Will continue to use for future lessons on this topic!
