Students will practice working with set theory by defining sets, classifying a set as an infinite set or finite set, defining the complement of a set, finding the union and intersection of two sets, identifying subsets, and working with Venn diagrams with this cut and paste puzzle. Students must be familiar with basic set notation.
Students find the parts along the bottom and right edge of each piece given the information about the sets in the middle, then cut out the squares and rearrange so the edges meet and paste onto a template. A template to paste the solution and answer key included. The box letters make it easy for students to organize their work AND make it easier to grade!
