Students will practice writing the equation of a line given two points with this coloring activity.
There are 20 problems total, separated into two sets . Students write the linear equations, then look for the equations that have matching y-intercepts between the columns. Then, they color the tree according to the matches. For example, if #1 has a y-intercept of -5 and Pink has a y-intercept of -5, then all 1’s are pink on the tree. I chose to match y-intercepts so students would be forced to find the write the entire equation, rather than just stopping at the slope!
This could also used as a partner activity in which Partner A completes Set 1 and Partner B completes Set 2.
