Students will practice writing square and cube root functions given transformations, graphing radical functions, and identifying key characteristics with this stations graphing activity. Key characteristics include domain, range, endpoint (for square root functions), point of inflection (for cube root functions), end behavior, and increasing/decreasing intervals. If using my Algebra 2 Curriculum, this activity goes well as a review before Quiz 6-3.
There are two versions of the cards included. One in which transformations are described and students write the function, and one in which the function is given. Choose the version that works best for your students!
Simply print the 8 stations cards (choose the set that works best for your students), post around the room, and copy enough worksheets for students to take along with them. I typically place students in groups of 3-4 and set a timer for each station.
