Students will practice identifying transformations of absolute value functions from the parent function given the transformed function. This activity includes horizontal and vertical translations, reflections in the x-axis, and vertical dilations of absolute value functions.
Transformations from the parent functions are described on the mystery code paper. Students choose the function (there are 10 total) that matches the description. Once they identify all the functions, there are directions at the bottom of the page to reveal the code. They can check this code with you.
