Students will practice simplifying expressions with rational exponents with this cut and paste puzzle. Operations include the product, quotient, and power rule. Both positive and negative exponents are included. Final answers are written in simplest radical form. Some expressions are given in radical form; therefore, students must convert to exponential form to simplify.
Students simplify the expressions on the bottom and right edge of each puzzle piece. Then, they cut out the squares and rearrange so the edges meet and paste them onto a template. A template to paste the solution and answer key included. The box letters make it easy for students to organize their work AND make it easier to grade!
