This compositions of trig functions maze activity includes three self-checking mazes that help Pre-Calculus students practice finding exact values of compositions of trigonometric functions with sine, cosine, and tangent. Mazes 1 and 2 have the inverse function on the inside (same and mixed functions), and Maze 3 has the inverse function on the outside, which requires the Pythagorean Theorem. All angles are given in radians.
How It Works:
Students solve each problem and use their answers to navigate through the maze. If they land on an answer that isn’t an option, they know right away to go back and check their work. Mazes work well as warm-ups, alternative homework assignments, classwork, or quick assessments.
