These Pre-Algebra review stations are a fun way to review, or to use during the last few days of school. Students love to color, and this activity keeps them focused on math while they color a fun picture.
The 12 stations cover order of operations, evaluating expressions, percent increase and decrease, comparing and ordering numbers (percents, fractions, decimals, and scientific notation), the Pythagorean Theorem (and perimeter), area of composite figures, volume of a cylinder, multi-step equations, two-step inequalities, compound probability without replacement, finding the range of a function given its domain, and graphing a linear equation in slope-intercept form. A student recording worksheet, the coloring page, and the answer key are included. Recommended for grades 7–8.
How It Works:
Students solve the problem at their station, identify the answer, and color the picture accordingly. After about 5–7 minutes, they move on to the next station.
