This adding and subtracting fractions coloring activity helps students practice adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. All fractions are positive, and answers are given as mixed numbers. The activity includes 20 problems, separated into two sets.
How It Works:
Students solve each problem, then look for matching answers between the two sets. Each match tells them how to color the heart picture, so the activity is self-checking. It works well as an independent activity or as a partner activity, with Partner A completing Set 1 and Partner B completing Set 2. Use it for Valentine’s Day or any time of the year!
