Students will practice solving exponential equations using a common base with this coloring activity. Knowledge of positive and negative exponents required. Some questions require students to combine bases on one side of the equation.

There are 20 problems total, separated into two sets. Students solve each equation, then look for matching answers between the columns. They color the sun according to their matching answers. This could also used as a partner activity in which Partner A completes Set 1 and Partner B completes Set 2.

This activity was created for an Algebra 2 level class.
