This simple probability activity provides middle school students with engaging practice finding the theoretical probability of a simple event. Problems range in difficulty, and all answers are given as fractions in simplest form.
How It Works:
A scenario is described in the middle of each square. Students find the probability of the events along the bottom and right edge of each square, based on the scenario in the middle. After finding each probability, they cut out the squares, arrange them so the matching edges meet, and paste them onto the template. Since every edge has to match, students can check their own work as they go. The box letters help students stay organized and make grading easier!
Ways to Use It:
This cut and paste puzzle works well as independent practice, partner work, a review before a quiz or test, or a low-prep sub plan during your probability unit.
