What grade level(s) is this curriculum designed for?

This curriculum includes both 7th- and 8th-grade content and is best suited for advanced 7th-grade students who will take Algebra 1 the following year. It can also be used with 8th-grade math students; however, please note that it includes a significant amount of 7th-grade material. The curriculum is intentionally rigorous and designed to challenge students while building a strong foundation for success in Algebra 1. If you are looking for more on-level material for 7th grade, I recommend my Math 7 Curriculum, which focuses specifically on seventh-grade skills and provides a more gradual pace and level of complexity.

What format are the files in?

All files are in a PDF format; however, the PowerPoint versions of the assessments are included so you can easily make multiple versions or customize to fit your needs. Equation Editor (usually built in to PowerPoint) is required to edit these files. If your Equation Editor is incompatible with mine, simply delete my equation and insert your own. Only assessments are editable.

Will I have access to materials if they are updated?

Yes! If any changes are made to the materials, simply login and redownload from your purchases.

Are answer keys included?

Yes!

Are videos included?

Yes, links to videos (on YouTube) of each lesson in the unit are included. Videos were created by fellow teachers for their students using the guided notes and shared in March 2020 when schools closed with no notice. Please watch through first before sharing with your students. Many teachers still use these in emergency substitute situations.

This resource is AWESOME!!! The notes, quizzes, homework, tests, and extra assignments are all included. It's already in order for you! All you have to do is print. My favorite things are the Spiral Reviews and the Warm-Ups. I use both every day! This Pre-Algebra bundle comes with a suggested pacing guide, which I find to be pretty accurate with my students. I was wondering if there was a resource for standard alignment? I cannot recommend this resource enough! If you are looking for a true Pre-Algebra course or need an Algebra Foundations course, this is the bundle for you!

The format of the notes pages makes it easy to match the Cornell notes my school encourages us to use with students. The units are broken out in a way that makes sense and I have found concepts that match almost all of what my district expects us to teach for pre-algebra. The editable assessments are a blessing because I can easily change numbers to create a re-take opportunity for those students who hadn’t mastered the concepts the first time.

I used the Algebra 1 curriculum before, so I got this resource for my Math 8 students. I have the ESOL team this year and this resource makes it easy to chunk and translate. I also have several students who need the chunking, so this has been a timesaver.
