This unit contains the following topics:
• Introduction to Systems of Equations
• Writing Systems of Equations and Identifying Solutions
• Solving Systems of Equations by Graphing
• Solving Systems of Equations by Substitution
• Solving Systems of Equations by Elimination
Elimination is included as a basic introduction. Problems require subtraction only. At most, one equation must be multiplied in order to proceed with elimination. If you do not teach elimination, this lesson can be skipped as all applications can easily be solved by substitution. If you would like to go deeper into elimination, you may prefer my Algebra 1 Systems of Equations Unit.
This unit does not contain activities.
This is the guided notes, homework assignments, quizzes, study guide, and unit test only. For suggested activities to go with this unit, check out the ATA Activity Alignment Guides.
