What grade level is this curriculum designed for?

This curriculum is intended for 7th grade students or advanced 6th grade students. It will work well for anyone taking Math 8 the following year.

How does the Math 7 Curriculum differ from the Pre-Algebra Curriculum?

This curriculum focuses entirely on seventh-grade skills and is designed specifically for students working at grade level. While it covers many of the same general topics as my Pre-Algebra Curriculum, it does not include the eighth-grade objectives found in Pre-Algebra. The pacing is slower in certain sections, and the complexity of the material is adjusted to better meet the needs of seventh-grade students. My Pre-Algebra Curriculum is intended for students who will take Algebra 1 the following year, while this is a more traditional Math 7 Curriculum designed for students who will take Math 8 the following year. All materials have been written specifically for Math 7. Although the two curricula cover some similar topics, the content is not identical, and there is no duplication of problems between them. If you currently use my Pre-Algebra Curriculum but find yourself wishing you had a version with a more gradual pace and grade-level complexity for your Math 7 students, this curriculum is a great fit.

What format are the files in?

All files are in a PDF format; however, the PowerPoint versions of the assessments are included so you can easily make multiple versions or customize to fit your needs. Equation Editor (usually built in to PowerPoint) is required to edit these files. If your Equation Editor is incompatible with mine, simply delete my equation and insert your own. Only assessments are editable.

Will I have access to materials if they are updated?

Yes! If any changes are made to the materials, simply login and redownload from your purchases.

Are answer keys included?

Yes!

Are videos included?

Yes, links to videos (on YouTube) of each lesson in the unit are included. Videos were created by fellow teachers for their students using the guided notes and shared in March 2020 when schools closed with no notice. Please watch through first before sharing with your students. Many teachers still use these in emergency substitute situations.

WOW! This is a complete resource, that is so well made and thought out. The progression makes sense, the guided notes are easy for students to follow along and not get overwhelmed with, and the videos linked to the product are EXCELLENT for students who miss a day of school or a student who goes home and forgets everything they learned in class.
