This is a digital version of my Similar Triangles Cut and Paste Activity, designed for use in Google Slides™. This similar triangles digital activity is an engaging, no-prep way for students to practice determining whether triangles are similar using SSS, SAS, and AA.
Using diagram markings and other given information, students will practice determining whether triangles are similar using Side-Side-Side Similarity (SSS~), Side-Angle-Side Similarity (SAS~), or Angle-Angle Similarity (AA~).
The activity includes 16 diagrams. Students determine whether the triangles are similar, identify the postulate or theorem that proves similarity, and determine the correct similarity statement. They then drag each diagram onto the template and place it in the correct location using the row and column headings. Some diagrams cannot be proven similar based on the given information.
Because students must correctly match both the similarity method and similarity statement, there is only one correct solution to the activity. Each diagram is numbered, making completed student work quick and easy to check.
Once purchased, you will receive a document with directions for adding the activity to your Google Drive™. You and your students will need a free Google account to access the activity. Once added to your Drive, you can make copies and share the activity with your students.
Please note: Digital Google Slides™ activities are sold separately from the curriculum bundles. The printable PDF version of this activity is included in the corresponding curriculum/activity bundle.
