This is the digital version of my Transformations Escape Room Activity, designed for use in Google Slides™. This transformations escape room is an engaging, no-prep way for students to review the concepts taught throughout a transformations unit in Geometry.
This resource contains two versions of the activity, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs. Version 1 contains six challenge puzzles, and all rotations and dilations are centered at the origin. Version 2 contains eight challenge puzzles and includes rotations and dilations that are not centered at the origin.
Challenges cover translations, reflections (over the x-axis, y-axis, y = x, y = -x, and other vertical and horizontal lines), rotations of 90°, 180°, and 270° clockwise and counterclockwise, dilations, sequences of transformations, and line, point, and rotational symmetry.
How It Works:
Each challenge puzzle reveals a 3-digit, 4-digit, or 5-letter code. Students work through the problems right in Google Slides™, enter their codes, and move on to the next challenge until they’ve cracked them all. When they’re finished, students can share the completed activity back with you for review. An answer key is included.
What You’ll Receive:
Once purchased, you will receive a PDF document with a link and directions for adding the activity to your Google Drive™. You and your students will need a free Google account to access the activity. Once it’s added to your Drive, you can make copies and share the activity with your students. Also included is an optional Google Form™ that students can use to check their codes on their own.
Please note: Digital Google Slides™ activities are sold separately from the curriculum bundles. The printable PDF version of this activity is included in the corresponding curriculum/activity bundle, or you can purchase the printable Transformations Escape Room Activity on its own.
