This Polynomials & Factoring Review Escape Room Activity is a fun and challenging way for students to review concepts taught throughout the Polynomials & Factoring unit in Algebra 1.
There are 8 challenge puzzles included, each revealing a 3-digit, 4-digit, or 5-letter code. Detailed directions on how to prep and assemble challenges are included. A student recording sheet for codes and suggested methods for checking codes is also included. A prize is recommended for students who successfully crack all the codes.

• Challenge A: Adding, Subtracting, and Classifying Polynomials
• Challenge B: Multiplying Polynomials
• Challenge C: Factoring a Polynomial with a Greatest Common Factor (GCF)
• Challenge D: Factoring Difference of Squares
• Challenge E: Factoring Trinomials of the form ax² + bx + c where a = 1 and a > 1
• Challenge F: Factoring Polynomials with Four Terms
• Challenge G: Mixed Factoring
• Challenge H: Dividing Polynomials by a Monomial or by a Binomial (by Factoring)
How long does this activity take? The challenge puzzles are independent of each other so challenges can be removed to save time or differentiate. If using all eight challenges, plan to use 2-3 periods or 1-1.5 blocks.
