Students will practice finding terms within Pascal’s triangle and using Pascal’s triangle and the Binomial Theorem to expand binomials and find certain terms with this set of 24 task cards. The cards are organized as follows:
- Cards 1-2: Identify all elements within a row of Pascal’s triangle.
- Cards 3-6: Identify a certain element in Pascal’s triangle.
- Cards 7-16: Find a certain term within a binomial expansion.
- Cards 17-18: Give the coefficient of a term within a binomial expansion.
- Cards 19-24: Completely expand a binomial expression.
Students can check their answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code, however, a QR scanner app is required on the device. There are several free apps available to download. Cards without QR codes also included should you wish not to use them.
