Students will practice finding conditional (given) probability as they rotate through 10 stations with this “Math Lib” Activity. This activity also includes four problems with two-way tables in which students must find conditional probability based on the information in the tables. Relative joint and marginal frequencies are given in some of the tables. Conditional probability notation with the bar is included on some problems. This activity is designed for high school level students studying conditional probability and two-way tables. The answer at each station will give them a piece to a story (who, doing what, with who, where, when, etc.).

This is a much more fun approach to multiple choice, and the students adore reading the story to the class. They get very excited to see which of their teachers is the “star” of the story.
