Students will practice identifying characteristics of graphs including domain, range, x- and y-intercepts, extrema (minimum, maximum, point of inflection), increasing and decreasing intervals, end behavior, points and types of discontinuity (jump, removable, and infinite) and shapes of basic parent functions with this “Mystery Code Activity”.
Characteristics of graphs are described on the mystery code paper. Students choose the graph (there are 10 total) that matches the description. Once they identify all the graphs, there are directions at the bottom of the page to reveal the code. They can check this code with you.
