Students will practice applying properties of quadrilaterals to find missing side and angle measures with this Scavenger Hunt activity. This includes parallelograms, rectangles, rhombi, squares, trapezoids, isosceles trapezoids, and kites. Many problems require the application of more than one property. Students must be able to solve multi-step equations. Challenging problems are included. This activity was created for a high school level geometry class.
This scavenger hunt includes 18 problems and a student recording worksheet. Hang the problems around the room (or in the hallway) and distribute the recording worksheet to each student. Clipboards work very well for this type of activity! Place your students in groups of 2-3 and assign each group a place to start. They solve the problem at the station, then use their answer to lead them to the next problem. They should finish the Scavenger Hunt at the same problem they started with.
