Students will practice evaluating functions given in function notation by working through these 20 task cards. Types of inputs include integers, fractions, and challenging problems like f(2) + 5, 2[f(-7)], f(-1) + f(3) and f(x + 1). Because of the easy, intermediate, and advanced levels of questioning, this activity can easily be differentiated.
A recording worksheet is included for students to show work. They can check their answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code. However, a QR scanner app is required on the device. There are several free apps available to download.
If you haven’t used QR codes in your classroom yet, I highly recommend them! Students love using the technology, and the self-checking makes it easier on the teacher!
