This is the digital version of my Area and Perimeter of Composite Figures Cut & Paste Puzzle, designed for use in Google Slides™. This area and perimeter of composite figures digital activity is an engaging, no-prep way for students to practice finding the area and perimeter of composite figures.
Students find the area and perimeter of composite figures that can be divided into squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, and circles. Because circles are included, students must know the area and circumference of circles formulas, and one problem requires students to use the Pythagorean Theorem to find a missing side length. The π button on the calculator is used for all circle calculations, and all answers are rounded to the nearest tenth.
How It Works:
Students solve each problem, then drag the puzzle pieces onto the template and arrange them so the edges have corresponding answers. The box letters make it easy for students to organize their work AND make it easier to grade! When they’re finished, students can share the completed activity back with you for review.
What You’ll Receive:
Once purchased, you will receive a PDF document with a link and directions for adding the activity to your Google Drive™. You and your students will need a free Google account to access the activity. Once it’s added to your Drive, you can make copies and share the activity with your students.
Note: This is a challenging activity designed for either high school Geometry students or advanced middle school math students.
Please note: Digital Google Slides™ activities are sold separately from the curriculum bundles. The printable PDF version of this activity is included in the corresponding curriculum/activity bundle, or you can purchase the printable Area and Perimeter of Composite Figures Cut & Paste Puzzle on its own.
