This free slope formula coloring activity is a festive way for students to practice finding the slope of a line given two ordered pairs, and a perfect activity for the days leading up to winter break. There are 20 problems total, separated into two columns.
How It Works:
Students find the slope of the line that passes through each pair of points, then look for matching answers between Column 1 and Column 2. Once they find a match, they color the holiday lights accordingly. Because every answer needs a match, students have a built-in way to check their work as they go. This activity can also be used as a partner activity in which Partner A completes Column 1 and Partner B completes Column 2.
This activity works very well with Algebra 1 Unit 4: Linear Equations.
