This free graphing linear equations activity is a fun, seasonal way for students to practice graphing lines. Two versions are included: one with equations in slope-intercept form and another with equations in standard form, so you can choose the version that best fits the needs of your students.
How It Works:
Students graph ten lines on a large heart using the indicated colors, then color and cut out twelve candy hearts with sayings like “Be Mine” and “Hot Stuff.” Each candy heart is glued at a specific intersection of two lines, so students need accurate graphs to place them correctly. The finished hearts are colorful and make a great bulletin board display.
This activity is perfect for Valentine’s Day or any time you want a fun review of graphing linear equations. It works well as classwork, stations, partner work, early finisher practice, or a sub day activity.

Links to the Google Slides™ versions of both activities are included!
This activity works very well with Pre-Algebra Unit 5: Functions & Linear Relationships or Algebra 1 Unit 4: Linear Equations.
