This free similar triangles graphic organizer helps students introduce or review the ways to show that triangles are similar: Angle-Angle (AA), Side-Side-Side (SSS), and Side-Angle-Side (SAS) Similarity. Each method includes its definition along with examples, so students have all three similarity shortcuts organized together on one page.
How It Works:
For each example, students determine whether the triangles are similar by the given method and, if they are, write a similarity statement. The examples range from straightforward to a bit trickier, like spotting a shared angle. It works well alongside notes when first teaching triangle similarity, as a reference for interactive notebooks, or as a review before a quiz or test.
This organizer works very well with Geometry Unit 6: Similar Triangles.
