This Exponent Rules Koosh Ball Game is a PowerPoint review game in which students practice applying the product rule, quotient rule, power rule, and negative exponent rule to simplify monomial expressions. Some of the 1,000-point problems are applications with finding the area and perimeter of geometric figures. There are 45 problems in all.
Students use a Koosh ball to aim for the circles on the board. Once a circle is hit, a problem will appear. Simply click “answer” for students to check. When you click “Back”, the circle will disappear so there are no repeats. Because this game was made with PowerPoint, it can be used with any interactive whiteboard. A student worksheet to record work is included.
PowerPoint is required for this game! It will not work with Google Slides or any other program. The game can be played with a Smart Board (or other interactive whiteboard) in which students can aim for a circle with a Koosh ball. Or, you can play the game with a projector and just have students come up to the computer to click on a problem.
