Students will practice solving for side and angle measures in parallelograms using their knowledge of properties with this this collaborative partner activity. Partner A solves the left side problem while Partner B solves the right side problem. They record their answer in the box. After each question, they compare answers. If their answers match, they move on. If not, they trade paper and review their partner’s work to help identify any mistakes.
All problems require solving a multi-step equation. In order to solve the problems, students must know the following properties:
-Opposite sides are congruent.
-Diagonals bisect each other.
-Opposite angles are congruent.
-Consecutive angles are supplementary.
-Opposite sides are parallel. (Creating alternate interior angles with the diagonals)
An answer key is included, along with a non-partner version should you wish to have your students work independently and solve all the problems.
