Students will build fluency with multiplying decimals by solving a variety of decimal–decimal and decimal–whole number multiplication problems in this engaging Cross-Number Puzzle.
This activity works like a crossword puzzle, but instead of filling in letters, students fill in numbers. The puzzle includes both Across and Down problems. Students find each product and record their answers in the corresponding boxes. The activity is self-checking, as incorrect answers will not fit properly in the puzzle.
There are 27 total multiplication problems. The activity can be completed independently or with a partner. When working in pairs, one student can complete the Across problems while the other completes the Down problems.
