This is the digital version of my Evaluating Functions Triples Activity, designed for use in Google Slides™. This evaluating functions digital activity is an engaging, no-prep way to build students’ understanding of function notation. There are 24 total cards made up of 8 sets of 3 cards with the same answer.
Cards A–J ask students to evaluate a function for a given value, cards K–T ask students to solve for x given f(x) (students must be able to solve a two-step equation), and cards U–X use the graph of a function to find a matching f(x) or x-value.
How It Works:
Students solve each card, identify the matching “triples,” and drag them onto the triples templates. When they’re finished, students can share the completed activity back with you for review. An answer key is included.
What You’ll Receive:
Once purchased, you will receive a PDF document with a link and directions for adding the activity to your Google Drive™. You and your students will need a free Google account to access the activity. Once it’s added to your Drive, you can make copies and share the activity with your students.
Please note: Digital Google Slides™ activities are sold separately from the curriculum bundles. The printable PDF version of this activity is included in the corresponding curriculum/activity bundle, or you can purchase the printable Evaluating Functions Triples Activity on its own.
