This is the digital version of my Systems of Equations & Inequalities Escape Room Activity, designed for use in Google Slides™. This systems of equations escape room is an engaging, no-prep way for students to review the concepts taught throughout a systems of equations and inequalities unit.

The 6 challenges cover solving systems of equations by graphing, by substitution, and by elimination, systems of equations applications, systems of inequalities, and systems of inequalities applications. The challenges are independent of each other, so you can remove some to save time or differentiate. If using all six challenges, plan for two class periods or a full block.

How It Works:

Each challenge puzzle reveals a 3-digit, 4-digit, 4-letter, or 5-letter code. Students work through the problems right in Google Slides™, enter their codes, and move on to the next challenge until they’ve cracked them all. When they’re finished, students can share the completed activity back with you for review. An answer key is included.

What You’ll Receive:

Once purchased, you will receive a PDF document with a link and directions for adding the activity to your Google Drive™. You and your students will need a free Google account to access the activity. Once it’s added to your Drive, you can make copies and share the activity with your students. Also included are an optional Google Form™ that students can use to check their codes on their own and a video that explains how to complete each challenge.

Please note: Digital Google Slides™ activities are sold separately from the curriculum bundles. The printable PDF version of this activity is included in the corresponding curriculum/activity bundle, or you can purchase the printable Systems of Equations & Inequalities Escape Room Activity on its own.

I used the Systems of Equations & Inequalities Digital Escape as a review tool before our unit test, and it kept my Algebra 1 students actively engaged. The interactive Google Slides format made it easy to assign in a digital classroom, and students were excited to "escape" while practicing problem-solving. It encouraged critical thinking and collaboration, even in a virtual setting.

—RACHEL LEE

These were great puzzles to review the skills while allowing students to check their own work. It does take a while to complete at least for my students.

—KARA H.

My students used this on a day I was absent, and had trouble getting started without my guidance, but ended up being able to successfully open it and attempt to escape. Excellent as always, Gina!
