Students will practice solving graphing, and checking possible solutions to two-step inequalities as well as identify the solution(s) to a two-step inequality with this set of 12 task cards. This includes the following types of inequalities:
px + q < r
px + q > r
px + q ≤ r
px + q ≥ r
p(x + q) < r
p(x + q) > r
p(x + q) ≤ r
p(x + q) ≥ r
A recording worksheet is included for students to show their work, graph the inequality, and check possible solutions. They can verify their answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code. However, a QR scanner app is required on the device. There are several free apps available to download.
If you haven’t used QR codes in your classroom yet, I highly recommend them! Students love using the technology, and the self-checking makes it easier on the teacher!
A non-QR code version is included, along with an additional version of the worksheet that can be completed without the task cards (the problems are pre-typed in).
