Students will practice solving trigonometric equations with this “Fly-Swatter” PowerPoint Game. Types of problems include basic isolation, factoring, and using identities (Pythagorean, half-angle, double-angle, sum of angles, difference of angles, and sum-to-product). All solutions are given in radians.
The flies really do fly! Once a fly is selected, a problem will appear. Students must solve the equation by showing work on their recording worksheet (included with game). Then, they look up their answer on their bingo sheet. Also included are 30 individualized bingo boards.
PowerPoint is required for this game! It will not work with Google Slides or any other program. The game can be played with a Smart Board (or other interactive whiteboard) in which students can aim for a fly with a Koosh ball. Or, you can play the game with a projector and just have students come up to the computer to click on a fly.
