This flip book provides a compact way for students to review and practice transformations, including translations, reflections, rotations, dilations, and sequences of transformations). This includes rotations and dilations centered from any fixed point. The topics are divided into the following 7 tabs:
• Translations (includes both coordinate and vector notation)
• Reflections
• Rotations (using the origin as the center of rotation)
• Rotations (using any fixed point as the center of rotation)
• Dilations (using the origin as the center of dilation)
• Dilations (using any fixed point as the center of dilation)
• Sequences of Transformations
Reflections include the x-axis, y-axis, y = x, and other vertical/horizontal lines. Rotations include 90º, 180º, and 270º, both counterclockwise and clockwise. In total, there are 39 practice problems included in this review book. This activity works well as a review before a unit test, or as a refresher at the end of the year. Directions for printing and answer key included.
If you only use the origin for rotations and dilations and do not teach vector notation with translations, you may be more interested in my Transformations Flip Book Version 1.
