This Simplifying Expressions (Distribute & Combine Like Terms) Pyramid Sum Puzzle is a pyramid sum puzzle activity in which students practice simplifying expressions by distributing and combining like terms.
Simply give each student the template and set of problems. Students simplify each expression, cut out the puzzle pieces, and arrange them on the template so that each simplified expression equals the sum of the two simplified expressions directly above it. Please note: Answers shown in the product image above are purposely incorrect.
