Students will review graphing and solving quadratic equations as they rotate through 12 stations and complete a review book. This includes rational and irrational solutions only and is designed for an Algebra 1 level class.
Each station is a page of their review book. At the stations, students fill in the blanks, then solve or graph the problems. Download the preview to see both directions and samples of the student book pages versus what the station looks like.
There are 12 topics total that cover the following concepts:
Station 1 – Quadratic Equations Basics (Vocabulary, Formulas)
Station 2 – Graphing Quadratic Equations (*includes identifying the axis of symmetry, vertex, domain, range, zeros, and y-intercept)
Station 3 – Graphing Quadratic Equations Continued
Station 4 – Solving Quadratics by Factoring
Station 5 – Solving Quadratics by Factoring Continued
Station 6 – Solving Quadratics by the Quadratic Formula
Station 7 – Solving Quadratics by Square Roots
Station 8 – Choose your Method
Station 9 – Choose your Method Continued
Station 10 – Area Applications
Station 11 – Projectile Motion
Station 12 – Quadratic Regression
When printing the book, be sure to print 2-sided and choose the “flip along short edge” option. Once it prints you can fold it in half and staple. The pages should be in order.
