Students will match parts of a circle terms with definitions and diagrams with this “Triples” Activity. Students are given a recording sheet and 36 cards. The cards include 12 terms (circle, diameter, radius, chord, secant, tangent, point of tangency, central angle, inscribed angle, minor arc, major arc, and semicircle), 12 definitions of each term, and 12 diagrams.
Students must match the term, definition, and diagram. Once matched, students will record their matches on a recording sheet and write the part of the circle in symbolic notation.
Check out Version 2 of this activity. I made two versions and couldn’t decide which I prefer. They are both great for different reasons! And they are both unique so both can be used if you are looking for more practice.
