• Identify the slope formula, slope-intercept form and standard form of a linear equation.
• Convert equations from standard form to slope-intercept form
• Graph equations given in slope-intercept form.
• Graph equations given in standard form by converting to slope-intercept form.
• Graph equations given in standard form by identify x– and y-intercepts.
• Graph vertical and horizontal lines.

I distribute the Find Someone Who Activity to each student and first tell students to put their name on the paper, because they will be trading papers with their classmates many times. Then, they choose any one problem to do on their own to start. Then, they get up and find 13 other people to trade papers to complete the remaining problems. They sign their name on the problems they did. I walk around with my own paper and trade with them as well and encourage students to try different problems each time. This gives me an opportunity to engage in math discussion with them individually.

This was a great way to get kids up and moving! My students loved to walk around and pair up - some got a little distracted, but the use of a visual timer helped that! :)

I used this resource as a review activity after coming back from Christmas break. We had done the lessons covered in this resource (I use All Things Algebra curriculum) right before break, so this was a great way to get them engaged with the material on the first day back to class after a 2 week break. Many were using their notes and asking questions or getting help from their peers. I will definitely use this again!

—JENNIFER E.

The students loved it, worked well to help build some classroom unity and I ended up using it as an error analysis piece once we corrected it. If students were able to spot and correct the error someone else did, they got extra credit.
