Students will practice identifying the properties of addition and multiplication with this “Spin to Win” game. This includes the commutative property addition, commutative property of multiplication, associative property of addition, associative property of multiplication, identity property of addition, identity property of multiplication, inverse property of addition, inverse property of multiplication, zero property of multiplication, and distributive property.
Students hit the center of the wheel to “spin”, let it go around a few times, then touch the center to stop. Wherever it lands, they then choose that dollar amount from the side column. I made two questions per dollar amount in the event of a repeat, just hit the “next button.” They can click “Answer” to check. Because students struggle with properties , I play this game several times throughout the year when we have some “down time”. Students play in teams and absolutely love this game!
PowerPoint and a PC is required for this game! It will not work a MAC, or with Google Slides or any other presentation program.
