Students will practice identifying the corresponding rectangular equation and graph given a set of parametric equations over a given interval with this “Triples” Activity. This activity includes parabolas and lines. All rectangular equations are solved for y.
There are 30 total cards. Once matched, there will be 10 sets of three cards, each with a set of parametric equations, an equation in rectangular form, and a graph. Once they are finished, I have my students staple their “triples” together and place in a zip-lock bag.
An answer key to use to ensure the correct cards are matched.
