Students will practice solving multi-step equations with variables on both sides with this Scavenger Hunt activity. Special solutions (no solution and infinite solution) are NOT included in this activity as I use this activity prior to teaching that topic.
This scavenger hunt includes 12 problems and a student recording worksheet. Hang the problems around the room (or in the hallway) and distribute the recording worksheet to each student. Clipboards work very well for this type of activity! Place your students in groups of 2-3 and assign each group a place to start. They solve the problem at the station, then use their answer to lead them to the next problem. They should finish the Scavenger Hunt at the same problem they started with.
