Students will practice graphing linear inequalities written in standard form with this Scavenger Hunt activity.  I included very similar problems so that they must have a solid understanding of slope and y-intercept. I also included vertical and horizontal lines, and similar problems like y < -x and y < -1.

This scavenger hunt includes 15 problems and a student recording worksheet.  Hang the problems around the room (or in the hallway) and distribute the recording worksheet to each student. Clipboards work very well for this type of activity! Place your students in groups of 2-3 and assign each group a place to start.  They solve the problem at the station, then use their answer to lead them to the next problem.  They should finish the Scavenger Hunt at the same problem they started with.

NOTE:  This resource also includes a version in which students can scan a QR code to reveal the problem at each station.  This is optional.  Choose the version of the activity that works best for your students!

Another great scavenger hunt! Thanks for making quality products to use. My students love being able to walk around the room and the QR codes were great for self-checking.

This was a great review of graphing linear inequalities for my Algebra 1 students. I liked that it included the answer sheet for the students to write out the linear inequality and graph by hand before searching the room for the correct graph. The students love using the QR code to move on to the next question. Very well written and enough problems to keep them engaged!

—JESSIE D.

The students really enjoyed this activity because they got to use their phones to scan the QR code. It was a good way to break up the teaching of this concept to the class.
