Students will practice identifying angle relationships and finding angle measures using this puzzle activity. This includes complementary angles, supplementary angles, and vertical angles. Several problems require students to solve an equation. Problems range in difficulty. This activity was written for a high school level geometry class, but could be used with advanced middle school students.

Students solve each problem, then cut out the squares and rearrange so the edges meet and paste onto a template. A template to paste the solution and answer key included. The box letters make it easy for students to organize their work AND make it easier to grade!

This resource is included in the following bundle(s):

Pre-Algebra Activities Bundle
Geometry Curriculum (with Activities)

This was a fun activity to do with my geometry class. I liked that it engaged my students and helped them practice concepts while breaking up the monotony of just doing problems. They enjoyed having the chance to do something different.

—ELIZABETH B.

This is exactly what I was looking for to give my students additional experience in solving for the unknown angle. I'll admit I did not use the harder mathematical concepts with my fourth graders.

—WENDY T.

My students were highly engaged and challenged by this puzzle! Many of the questions led to great small group discussion as to how to find various angle measures.
