This Middle School Math Vocabulary Review “I Have, Who Has?” Cards resource is a whole-class card activity in which students review 36 middle school math vocabulary terms, from integers and proportions to transformations and the Pythagorean Theorem. Each card shows an example, diagram, or definition of one vocabulary term, then asks who has the next term. There are 36 total cards. Distribute one card to each student (some students may get two cards if you have a smaller class). I display the first card on the board and ask who has the example of that vocabulary term. Whoever has it raises their hand and reads the next card, and so on, until the cards loop back to the start.
It is helpful to have a second set of cards to display on the board as you move through the activity. Some students need a visual at the front rather than just listening to their classmates read the cards. This math vocabulary review works well for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math or Pre-Algebra, whether you use it before state testing, at the end of a unit, or at the start of the year. An answer key with the order of the cards is included.
