Students will practice solving two-step inequalities and recognizing their graphs with this “Triples Activity”. I created this activity as a twist on the classic task cards. Students can work on their own or in teams to complete the activity. There are 30 total cards. Once matched, there will be 10 sets of three cards, each with the same answer. Each triple includes two cards with a two-step inequality to solve (each have the same solution) and one card with the corresponding graph.
Once they have finished all the cards, I have them cut them out, staple their “triples”, and place them in a zip-lock bag for a classwork grade. I allow them to work directly on the card. Or, they can write on the back. A simple answer key is provided to ensure the cards are matched correctly.
