Students will practice graphing transformations, including reflections, translations, rotations, and dilations, with this Scavenger Hunt activity. Reflections include the x-axis, y-axis, y = x, and y = -x. Rotations include 90º, 180º, and 270º (all counterclockwise) about the origin.
This scavenger hunt includes 15 problems and a student recording worksheet. Hang the problems around the room (or in the hallway) and distribute the recording worksheet to each student. Clipboards work very well for this type of activity! Place your students in groups of 2-3 and assign each group a place to start. They solve the problem at the station, then use their answer to lead them to the next problem. They should finish the Scavenger Hunt at the same problem they started with.
