SINGLE NON-TRANSFERABLE LICENSE: This license is purchased for, and assigned to one teacher only. It can not be reassigned or transferred if there is a change in staffing (a teacher leaves, retires, changes grade levels/courses, etc.). A non-transferable license can not be reclaimed by another teacher. This type of license is most appropriate for a teacher purchasing a license for their own use. If a school chooses to purchase a non-transferable license for a teacher, the teacher retains ownership of the license, not the school.
SINGLE TRANSFERABLE LICENSE: This license is also for one teacher only. However, this license can be reassigned to another teacher in the case of turnover, leave, or other special cases. When a school purchases a transferable license, the school retains ownership of the license when a teacher leaves their teaching assignment. Transferable licenses are most appropriate for and only available for schools or districts.
Both a single non-transferable license and a single transferable license can not be shared among several teachers. Ensure the number of licenses (whether purchasing non-transferable or transferable) corresponds to the number of teachers using the resource by adjusting the quantity at checkout.
