Students will work together to practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions with this relay race activity. In groups of four, one student has the addition relay, the next has the subtraction relay, the next has the multiplication relay, and the last student has the division relay. Each student works on problem #1. Once they are finished, they rotate papers. They must use the answer of the previous person to start problem #2. This requires that they check over the work. They keep rotating until all relays are completed. These relays can also be used as independent activities.
