This area of triangles and parallelograms maze activity includes three self-checking mazes that help Geometry students practice finding the area of triangles, squares, rectangles, and parallelograms. Designed as a review, the mazes build from the Pythagorean Theorem to special right triangles and right triangle trigonometry. This activity is best for a high school Geometry class.
How It Works:
Students solve each problem and use their answers to navigate through the maze. If they land on an answer that isn’t an option, they know right away to go back and check their work. Mazes work well as warm-ups, alternative homework assignments, classwork, or quick assessments.
